Medford, Massachusetts — April 12, 2021
Our Revolution Medford, a community organizing group made up of Medford residents, is pleased to announce the release of the 2021 Medford People’s Platform and to invite candidates in the 2021 City Elections to apply for an OR Medford endorsement.
OR Medford is committed to a shared policy vision that centers working people and infuses anti-racism, anti-ableism, anti-austerity, and intersectionality throughout all policies and practices to combat structural oppression. Justice and equity are the foundation of the 2021 Medford People’s Platform, which can be seen throughout all of the policy categories.
Our shared policy vision for Medford over the next two years (2021-2023) will bring people together to fight for a fully-funded City Budget, raise needed revenue, promote climate resiliency and an open walkable city, provide true community safety for all residents, fully fund public education, create an equitable and welcoming city government that fights for working people, and improve housing access and stability for people of all incomes.
The 2021 Medford People’s Platform is central to OR Medford’s endorsement process for candidates running in the 2021 municipal elections. All candidates must sign onto the 2021 Medford People’s Platform and our 2021 Candidate Agreement.
Requests by candidates for Our Revolution Medford endorsement opens on April 12, 2021, and we encourage candidates to apply for the first round of endorsements by April 30, 2021. Please apply for a 2021 Our Revolution Medford endorsement by completing the above forms and emailing ormedford-endorsements@googlegroups.com to schedule your candidate interview.
OR Medford welcomes all candidates, residents, and community organizations to sign onto the 2021 Medford People’s Platform and to play a participatory role in 2021 Municipal Elections.
