How to Vote in Medford MA 2025 Municipal Election on November 4th!

The 2025 Medford Municipal Election for Mayor, City Council, and School Committee is Tuesday, November 4th.

But before election day, this year Medford is holding a Preliminary Election for City Council on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Learn more about how to vote in Medford’s preliminary election here!

Vote on Election Day: Tuesday, November 4th

Polls are open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM on Election Day. Find your polling place here.

If you received a Vote by Mail ballot and plan to return it, we HIGHLY recommend that you bring it to City Hall and drop it off in the Elections Commission Office (Room 102) or the ballot drop box near the east entrance.

Ballots MUST be returned by Tuesday, November 4th at 8PM to be counted. If you send your ballot by USPS at this point, it may not arrive in time.

This election will decide how much progress we make in the next two years, so we need strong turnout. Voters must be registered by October 24, 2025 to be eligible.


Are you registered to vote?

Confirm your voter registration here. If you need to register and currently have a Massachusetts driver’s license or state ID card, you may use the online voter registration application. Otherwise, register in person at Medford Elections Department (City Hall Room 102).

Early Voting at Medford City Hall

In-person early voting will be held at Medford City Hall during the last week of October.

  • Sun. Oct. 26 – 8:30am- 2:30PM
  • Mon Oct. 27 – 8:30AM-4:30PM
  • Tue. Oct. 28 – 8:30AM-4:30PM
  • Wed. Oct. 29 – 8:30AM-7:30PM
  • Thur. Oct. 30 – 8:30AM-4:30PM
  • Fri. Oct. 31 -8:30AM-12:30PM

Vote By Mail

Request a mail ballot by printing, physically signing, and returning this signed application to the Election Commission Office via mail, drop box, email, or in person.

When you receive your ballot in the mail, you can return it at City Hall during business hours, drop it at the Drop Box by the East side entrance (Clippership Drive), or mail it back (be careful of USPS delays).

All ballots must be returned to the Election Commission Office by the close of the polls (8:00PM), on Election Day, November 4th, 2025.
